OTHER GREAT SOUTH PENNINES STUFF TO DO IN 2014

If our Festival has given you a taster of our diverse and distinctive South Pennines area - why not stick around and and enjoy one of the other local events taking place.  Our South Pennines website has some great sections on what to do, where to go and what festivals to visit so have a browse here, but we've also listed a few events below to wet your appetite.

This year is of course an exceptional one. No events listing would be complete without reference to the amazing list of events that are happening as part of the Yorkshire Festival . Here at Pennine Prospects we are very excited in particular about our Fields of Vision Project, coming to a hillside near you soon (well maybe - depends where you live!). All these events run from March until July so if you are visiting the area there is, quite simply, some amazing stuff going on.

April

Festival Bowland events in the Forest of Bowland run throughout the summer months with loads of walks and wildlife watching days out.  Choose the event for you, you'll be spoilt for choice.

Naughty of us to promote a Festival quite so far outside our area, but you could visit us on your way to and from the Settle - Carlisle Walking Festival, ride2stride. They are a free festival run by volunteers with no budget (so us Festival organisers  must stick together and promote each other!)

Pendle Witches Vintage Velo charity cycle sportive starts and finishes at the Craven Heifer Public House in Rawtenstall - it always falls on Easter Sunday
